Neighbourhood Features
North Point is located at the northern tip of Hong Kong Island. Since the economic reforms of the 1980s, many middle-class and wealthy individuals have moved into the area, leading to a steady rise in property prices.
North Point enjoys a prime location, with several commercial districts nearby, including Fortress Hill, Tin Hau and Causeway Bay. The area is also home to renowned schools such as Queen's College and Cheung Chuk Shan College. The transportation network within the district is convenient, as it has the advantage of both the Island MTR Line and the Tseung Kwan O MTR Line, as well as multiple bus, minibus and tram routes connecting various districts in Hong Kong.
As one of the wealthiest areas in the Eastern District, most of the residential developments in North Point are privately owned, with many luxury homes worth millions of dollars. The neighbourhood also provides a variety of leisure facilities, including the spacious Choi Sai Woo Park, as well as other recreational spots such as the North Point Promenade and the North Point Service Reservoir Playground.
Additionally, the area is home to several well-known hotels, such as Harbour Plaza North Point, Hotel VIC, and City Garden Hotel, along with several large shopping malls, including Harbour North, Island Place and Metropole, providing a comprehensive range of dining, entertainment, and shopping options.
Residential Distribution
Residential areas in the district are primarily on both sides of King's Road, within approximately a 10-minute walk from North Point MTR Station. To the north of King's Road is the seaside area, adjacent to the Eastern Corridor and the North Point Ferry Pier.
Some of the residential developments in this area include City Garden, Provident Centre, Ming Fai Building, Marble Garden and Victoria Harbour Residence. Some of these properties boast unbeatable sea views, beautiful surroundings and convenient shopping.
On the southern side of King's Road, there are private buildings such as Maple Gardens, Metropole Building, Island Place, Ming Yuen Mansions, Bedford Gardens, Tanner Garden, Healthy Garden and Full Wealth Gardens. The buildings in this area are more densely populated. Some of the properties are close to Braemar Hill and Choi Sai Woo Park, with picturesque green views.
