Prince Edward, located in the northern part of Yau Tsim Mong, is primarily a commercial area with a mix of residential buildings, mostly older structures. Since 2010, the Town Planning Board has announced development plans to revitalize the tenement buildings along Prince Edward Road West, such as the 618 Shanghai Street project, adding a modern touch to the area. In addition to conservation efforts, some old buildings have been renovated into new ones for sale, enhancing the overall quality of residential housing in the area.

The district is adjacent to the bustling commercial area of Mong Kok, with numerous shopping malls nearby, including Langham Place, MOKO, Allied Plaza and the Pioneer Centre. Various chain restaurants and branded stores cater to the diverse consumption needs of residents. Additionally, the community is equipped with facilities like Fa Hui Park and Mong Kok Stadium, providing ample recreational space for residents.

In terms of transportation, Prince Edward Station serves as a transfer station for the Tsuen Wan Line and Kwun Tong Line, offering convenient access to the railway network. Furthermore, Nathan Road and the surrounding area have multiple bus and minibus routes connecting to various districts in Hong Kong.

Residential Distribution

Residential areas in the district are primarily concentrated around Boundary Street and Prince Edward Road West. Playgrounds, including Maple Street Playground, Tai Hang Tung Recreation Ground, Boundary Street Recreation Ground and Mong Kok Stadium, are located near Boundary Street. Private residential buildings in this area include Greenview Court, High Park Grand, King On House, Kowloon Tong Mansion, Ming Court, and Novi. These are mostly standalone buildings.

In the Prince Edward Road West area, closer to Prince Edward Station and the central area of Mong Kok, there is a well-established living environment, with lively streets. Private residential buildings in this area include Bijou Court, Cheerworld Court, Choi Kam House, Cite 33, Ever Court, Flatiron Court, Gallant Court, Grand Metro, Ka Hing Court, Kingly House, Mongkok City Building, Sunningdale, Vogue Court, Wing Ying Building, and Yat Cheong Building. The area features a mix of new and old buildings.
