Hung Hom

Welcome to Hung Hom

### Neighbourhood Features

Hung Hom is located in the southeast of Kowloon, spanning both the Kowloon City and Yau Tsim Mong districts. Its area includes Hung Hom Bay, Whampoa, Tai Wan, Hok Yuen, Lo Lung Hang, and Hung Hom Hill. With the government's development of the Hung Hom Bay reclamation project, connecting the land between Tsim Sha Tsui East and Whampoa, several residential developments along the waterfront have been completed, offering beautiful views.

The district features the Hung Hom Promenade, providing residents with a serene environment. The area is actively involved in the redevelopment of older districts, introducing numerous new projects, mainly consisting of small-sized standalone buildings suitable for singles or small families. Most properties come with small-scale shopping malls, and the vicinity boasts several famous food streets such as Baker Street, Whampoa Street, and Sung Kit Street, meeting the daily needs of residents. In terms of transportation, the extension of the East Rail Line to Admiralty Station has made the cross-harbor journey from Hung Hom more convenient. Additionally, the extension of the Kwun Tong Line to Whampoa Station has greatly improved the railway transportation in Hung Hom.

Residential Distribution

Residential areas in the district are primarily concentrated on the reclaimed land in Hung Hom Bay. Private buildings in this area include Royal Peninsula, Laguna Verde, Upper East, Stars By The Harbour, Harbour Place, Chatham Gate, The Metropolis Residence, Whampoa Estate, and Whampoa Garden. Some of the coastal developments offer panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, providing a picturesque and open scenery.

Additionally, there are subsidized housing projects, such as Hoi Yat Estate, which is one of the pioneering projects under the Starter Home Pilot Scheme. Other residences farther from MTR stations are mainly older tenement buildings and standalone new buildings, including The Vantage, Baker Residences, and The Met. Focus. Despite being farther from MTR stations, these areas have relatively sufficient amenities nearby.
