Neighbourhood Features
Lung Kwu Tan is situated in the western part of Tuen Mun in the New Territories, originally named Fa Heung Lo. Due to the presence of heavy infrastructure nearby, the water quality of the beach is not suitable for swimming. Lung Kwu Tan boasts natural landscapes and is renowned as an optimal location for sunset viewing, attracting numerous visitors during weekends and holidays.
Near Lung Kwu Tan, there is Butterfly Bay Park, a beach, and barbecue facilities, providing ample recreational amenities. Although currently only a few bus routes connect Tuen Mun Station, the planned Tuen Mun South Extension Line reserves conditions for an extension to Lung Kwu Tan, potentially introducing a new MTR route in the future. For residents in need of daily necessities, Tuen Mun town center is the closest option, with a variety of shops and restaurants to meet basic living and entertainment needs.
Residential Distribution
The residential density in the area is low, with housing mainly concentrated along the coastal area. Private estates in this region include Cenfa Villa, Sha Po Kong, and Lung Kwu Tan. There are also village houses in Pak Long Tsuen, offering a tranquil and pleasant living environment with views of the South China Sea.
