Neighbourhood Features
Kau Sai Chau is located in the Sai Kung District of the New Territories, and it is the sixth largest island in Hong Kong. In the past, residents made a living through farming and salt production. Currently, the majority of people have moved out of the urban areas, and approximately several dozen individuals remain on the island. With a sparse population and a tranquil environment, it offers a serene atmosphere.
The area hosts the only publicly accessible golf course in Hong Kong, open to all without membership requirements. In terms of transportation, Kau Sai Chau only provides ferry services to Sai Kung Pier. Residents can travel to Sai Kung town center for their daily necessities or transfer to buses and minibuses for destinations across Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories.
