Neighbourhood Features
Siu Sai Wan is located at the eastern tip of Hong Kong Island, originally a small bay on the east side of Chai Wan. It now encompasses the coastal land east of Sun Yip Street, with a lower population density compared to Chai Wan. Since the 1990s, the government has been constructing public housing for sale and gradually improving community facilities to meet the needs of residents. The overall building density of the housing estates in the area is not high, providing a tranquil environment.
Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground is the second-largest sports ground in the Hong Kong Island area, with some sports facilities meeting international standards, suitable for hosting large-scale sports events. Additionally, Siu Sai Wan Promenade provides ample green space, and the Civic Centre offers various venues for activities, meeting the leisure needs of residents. In terms of transportation, Siu Sai Wan Road is the main road to and from Siu Sai Wan, with bus and minibus routes connecting to MTR Chai Wan Station or Hip Wo Street Station.
