Neighbourhood Features
Sai Kung, located in the eastern part of the New Territories, encompasses over 70 islands and retains many unique natural features, and is therefore dubbed the "Back Garden of Hong Kong". Many areas in the district are popular destinations for citizens' outings and hiking, with some islands, for example, Grass Island, being favored camping spots.
Sai Kung town center is the bustling hub for residents' daily life, shopping, and dining. The nearby Sai Kung Public Pier serves as a transit point for various islands, and the coastal streets are lined with restaurants and shops, particularly seafood restaurants that attract many visitors on weekends. In addition, Sai Kung houses various public facilities, including government offices, waterfront parks, swimming pools, libraries, recreational centers, and a bus terminal, with multiple bus and minibus routes connecting to different areas, providing convenient transportation.
Residential Distribution
Many residential areas in Sai Kung are located near the town center, Ho Chung, and other scattered villages. Residential developments in the Sai Kung town area benefit from the proximity to lifestyle amenities. The residential estates in this area include Casa Bella, Lakeside Garden, Sai Kung Garden, Park Mediterranean, Sai Kung Town Centre, The Mediterranean, and others.
