Neighbourhood Features
Mid-Levels Central generally refers to the area around Cotton Tree Drive and Garden Road, situated above Hong Kong Park and the Zoological and Botanical Gardens. It is one of the traditional luxury residential areas on Hong Kong Island, with most of the estates built along the slopes.
Due to its higher altitude, many residences offer far-reaching views of Victoria Harbour or overlook the mountainous scenery. The area has a relatively low building density, providing a serene environment and excellent privacy, attracting both local and expatriate high-income individuals.
In addition to residential properties, there are several prestigious schools in the vicinity, such as St. Joseph's College, St. Paul's Co-educational College, and Island School. For shopping needs, one can walk to the Central business district within 10 to 20 minutes or take buses and minibusses to Admiralty and Causeway Bay. In terms of transportation, the area is served by bus and minibus routes connecting to various parts of Hong Kong Island.
Residential Distribution
Residential properties are distributed across The Peak, the vicinity of Hong Kong Park, and north of the Zoological and Botanical Gardens. The residential density is low in The Peak area, with some properties being standalone houses. Some of the estates in this area include Clovelly Court, Dynasty Court, Hillsborough Court, Queen's Garden, Tavistock, Tregunter and Valverde.
The residences near Hong Kong Park, being relatively closer to the city center, enjoy convenient transportation. Estates in this area include Borrett Mansions, Fairlane Tower, Kennedy Park at Centraland Woodlands Terrace. Further north, around the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the residential developments are more dense, including The Morgan, Seymour, Scenecliff, Pearl Gardens, Palatial Crest, Jing Tai Garden Mansion, Gramercy, Floral Tower, Elegant Terrace, Castle One By V, Blessings Garden, Bella Vista, Azura, Arezzo and 62B, Robinson Road.
