Neighbourhood Features
Heng Fa Chuen is located in Pak Sha Wan in the eastern district of Hong Kong Island. It is a large private residential development project and a popular residential area for middle-class families. Built along the coast, many units offer views of the Tathong Channel and the coastal scenery of Tseung Kwan O.
After the reclamation project, Pak Sha Wan has become the location of the MTR Chai Wan Depot, with the Heng Fa Chuen station operating since 1985. There is a waterfront promenade that caters to the leisure and recreational needs of the residents.
The large residential complex Paradise Mall is situated above Heng Fa Chuen MTR station, which houses various shops and eateries, providing residents with a complete range of daily necessities. In terms of transportation, aside from the railway, there are also public transportation interchanges in the area, with bus and minibus routes connecting various parts of Hong Kong.
Residential Distribution
Residential buildings in Heng Fa Chuen consist of a total of 48 blocks, primarily along the coast and in the vicinity of the Eastern Corridor. Blocks 1 to 21 are close to the Island Eastern Corridor and back onto the Lei Yue Mun Park, offering scenic green views. Blocks 22 to 50 are closer to the coastline, providing unparalleled sea views but are more exposed to strong winds during the windy season. Additionally, there is another residential complex called Heng Fa Villa, which was originally built as a high-end staff quarters by Kerry Properties. Many units in Heng Fa Garden are still used for rental purposes.
