Neighbourhood Features
Hang Hau is located northeast of the Tseung Kwan O, with most of its land obtained through a reclamation project. Since 1989, the government has been developing the Hang Hau area, focusing on industrial development. By 1990, subsidized housing gradually emerged in the area, followed by the addition of more public facilities and the Hang Hau MTR Station. The government planned Hang Hau Station as a central hub, and major shopping malls are easily accessible via elevated walkways, providing residents with convenient pedestrian access.
Hang Hau boasts a comprehensive range of community facilities, including various shopping malls such as East Point City, Nan Fung Plaza, TKO Gateway, and La Cite Noble Shopping Arcade, catering to daily shopping needs.
The area features the Hang Hau Man Kuk Lane Park, designed in the style of ancient Chinese gardens, providing ample recreational space. Additionally, there is the Sai Kung Tseung Kwan O Government Complex with government offices, a town hall, sports facilities, and other essential amenities.
