Spacious’ Tipping Point Analysis Featured by CNBC and SCMP
Spacious‘ mission is to give property searchers the best tools and data to save them time and money during their property search. Many searchers have been asking if they should Own or Rent their next place to live. To help answer this question, Spacious has launched the Tipping Point analysis and map overlay. Given the upfront costs associated with purchasing property, renting property is typically cheaper in the short term vs. owning. Spacious’ Tipping Point metric measures the time in years that it would take for the total costs for renting a home to exceed the total cost of buying an average home in a particular neighborhood. Once again, Spacious’ market leading data and technology have been embraced by users and praised by the international media, with the Tipping Point analysis being featured this week on CNBC and in the SCMP.
Cost of Buying Calculator
Spacious has launched a new, interactive calculator to help users determine the upfront and long term total costs of buying a property. The new calculator sets the bar for user experience and functionality in Asia. The calculator estimates upfront payments including stamp duty, down payment and broker’s commission. Monthly and lifetime costs are summarized with visualization and full details for the life of the mortgage are expandable. Users can easily customize all assumptions on desktop and mobile web versions. The calculator is also available on all For Sale listings so users can access this information quickly for a specific listing.
