A mainland property firm has sold the 16,693-square-foot 11th floor of Worldwide House in Central for HK$601 million. That means HK$36,003 per square foot, making it the most expensive office in the building in terms of a square-foot price. The pattern fits Central district remaining the world’s priciest office area, figures from commercial real estate services firm CBRE show. Prime office rates stand at US$303 (HK$2,357) per square foo annually, with London‘s West End second (US$213) and New York‘s Midtown Manhattan third (US$203).
Wah Ming Estate Studio Flat Sold at HK$12,925/sf
Capital and purchasing force of local buyers have transferred from private home market to public housing and HOS (House of Scheme) markets. A 147-square-foot studio flat in Wah Ming Estate, Fanling was sold at free market for HK$1.9 million, or HK$12,925 per square foot – the highest price of public house in northern New Territories. Meanwhile, a 639-square-foot three-room unit in Kwong Ming Court, Tseung Kwan O was sold at HOS second market for HK$4.9 million or HK$7,668 per square foot, setting the highest transaction price record of the estate.
